Privacy Policy — HetzBOT

HetzBOT is an independent iPhone console for Hetzner Cloud, developed by Emanuele Lacatena.

Data collection

The app collects no personal data. There is no backend server, no account system, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK and no crash-reporting service.

Your Hetzner API token

If you choose to connect a project, the API token you paste is stored in the iOS Keychain on your device. It is sent only to Hetzner Cloud (api.hetzner.cloud) over HTTPS, to perform the actions you request. It is never transmitted to the developer or to any third party, because there is no server to transmit it to.

Infrastructure data

The app displays servers, volumes, networks, firewalls, load balancers, IPs, SSH keys, snapshots and metrics returned by the Hetzner Cloud API. This data is used only to render the console on your device and is not stored anywhere else.

On-device storage

Project labels, automation schedules, recent jobs and interface preferences are stored locally. The in-app reset action clears them, and uninstalling the app deletes everything.

Demo mode

The built-in demo uses sample data bundled with the app. It makes no network requests and requires no Hetzner account.

Optional self-hosted web console

The project also offers an optional web console you can run yourself. If you deploy it, you are responsible for its hosting, logs, access control and TLS configuration. The iPhone app does not depend on it.
